Webinars Online

May 29, 2025

On May 15 and May 23, the NYS Council hosted two ‘Members Only” Webinars facilitated by consultants from Health Management Associates (HMA) that are designed to:

  • Assist your agency as it works to align your internal and external communications and messaging with the increased threat of retribution on nonprofits and other businesses where the message may not be perceived as being in alignment with current Trump administration policy priorities and,
  • Help you gather important information about your funding streams, assess risk, and plan for various scenarios that may present themselves as the result of the ongoing federal budget battles in Washington.

Both Webinars were recorded and are available by going to our homepage at:  www.nyscouncil.org, clicking on the ‘Events’ tab on the top of the page, and then by clicking ‘Archived Events’ to access the resources.  You will need a Username and Password to access the archived events page.  If you don’t have Website credentials please email Cindy Levernois at:  cindy@nyscouncil.org.  Cindy will share credentials so you can access all of the resources in the protected section of our site.

Note To access the recording of the Webinar from 5/23, click on the link that says “Recording” and then click on ‘Transcript” on the page you see.  At the bottom of the page there is an arrow that will start the recording of the Webinar. MANY thanks to Nancy Manigat at Central Nassau Guidance and Counseling for sharing her recording of the second Webinar with all of us.  You are a lifesaver, Nancy!

Note:  At the end of the Webinar last Friday, we agreed that the NYS Council will quickly convene members who are interested in taking on the tasks and implementing the recommendations discussed during the second Webinar.  The intent is to provide a forum where participants can learn from the recommended exercises, and benefit from technical assistance provided by HMA consultants in an environment where members can share their expertise and common concerns.  We are on it.  Stand by for more.

Have a good day!
